The audio launch of Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran directed by Mohan Raja was celebrated in a grand manner on 3 December at Chennai’s ITC Grand Chola. In spite of the fact that the whole supporting cast and group were in full participation, Nayanthara and Fahadh Faasil, who assume critical parts in the film, were prominent by their nonattendance. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander performed two hit songs from the collection ÔÇô Karuthavanlaam Galeejaam and Iraivaa.

In a befitting manner, the creators respected some barely known, overlooked specialists from different strolls of life, for example, Traffic Police Kumar, Auto Annadurai, Moar Thaatha, Sundari Akka, Birdman Joseph Sekar for their persistent devotion and diligent work. Another feature of the occasion was the screening of the making video of a sprawling, practical work set developed by craftsmanship executive Muthuraj for the film.

Speaking on the occasion, Sivakarthikeyan recalled how the project materialized in the first place. ÔÇ£IÔÇÖve never approached any director for an opportunity. For the first time in my career, I went to a director (Mohan Raja) and expressed my interest to collaborate because of the impact Thani Oruvan had on me. People see Mohan sir as someone most suitable for doing remakes, but not many know the challenges associated with a remake. I might have turned ten remake offers because I knew I canÔÇÖt do justice to the original.ÔÇØ

Without mincing words, Sivakarthikeyan said: ÔÇ£When I read memes that thereÔÇÖs no Sivakarthikeyan without Anirudh I canÔÇÖt be happier. He has supported me so much through his music and has played a pivotal role in my growth.ÔÇØ

Produced by RD Raja under the banner 24AM Studios, Velaikkaran features an extensive support cast including Sneha, Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji, Robo Shankar, Sathish, Vijay Vasanth, Thambi Ramaiah, Rohini, and Charlie. The film is slated to hit screens on December 22nd for the Christmas weekend.
