In Sweden, it is not just the bride and groom who kiss each other after taking vows for life. In the wedding ceremony, groom disappears for some reason and then all the unmarried young guys can kiss the bride. Same follows for the groom if by any chance bride leaves the groom.Well, it is a unique tradition and all the more reason why bride and groom stick to each other during the entre ceremony.
Spitting On The Bride
Well, by any means this is one of the most bizarre and unwelcoming rituals followed in Masai clan in Kenya. During the ceremony, the head of the bride is shaved. Thereafter lamb oil and fat is applied on her head. The father of the bride gives her blessings by spitting on the head and breast. In Masai culture, spitting is taken as symbol of fortune. The bride then leaves her house to go with the groom and does not look back for the fear of turning into a stone.
In India, if a man or a woman has manglik dosh, Kumbh Vivaah is performed.┬á Under this ritual, marriage is performed between the manglik and Lord Vishnu idol or Peepal tree. According to Hindu culture, Manglik dosh is not good for married life and may cause untimely death of the partner. The wedding is performed just like any other normal wedding where the girl or the boy will have to perform all the rituals.

In South Korea, after the marriage, the groom feet is tied together and beaten with stick or dried yellow Corvina, a kind of fish. This is more of a fun ceremony rather than painful.
